Ppi

I have had a letter back from my bank confirming two loan account numbers. However, they have informed me that they no longer have the application form or the statements for the accounts so can't confirm if PPI was applied.

Is there anything I can do regarding this? I'm unsure whether to complete a PPI form showing the account numbers in the hope they may dig a little deeper?

Any help would be appreciated.

If they have no evidence of payment then they are required to use any evidence you supply. If no evidence exists from either side then its game over.

if you dont believe them, you can do a data subject access request.

What would be your complaint reason if you don't know if you had PPI?

If you don't believe they have fully searched their archive, do as Dunston says above and request that they send you all information they have kept on file for you.

If this returns no record of PPI then you can rest easy knowing you've done all you can to find some.
