Increase in credit limit denied

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for a credit limit increase on my card I've had for 6 months. The current limit is only £500. However, the limit increase has been denied. Do you know why this is? I always pay off my card on time and have never gone over the limit so I'm just a bit puzzled.

Thanks

You've only had the card for 6 months and the card issuer considers you too high risk to extend further credit to at present.

If you use the card sensibly, things will improve over time.

I don't know anything about your credit history, but if there's nothing negative on your report and you got the Amazon card 6 months ago to build your credit, now might be the time to apply for a second card.

    I'd try some eligibility checkers.
