Are students eligible for any benefits if they can't find summer work.

No but a northern city with a high student population - forgive me for not feeling sympathy for a potential graduate who's already expecting additional state support but sometimes life's tough and real life is a wake up call
Assuming you're (and why are you rather than she) paying for her accommodation from July are there better options where she's studying than at 'home'
A university city will be more accommodating towards students working short term and have more jobs going than a smaller town or village.
I wasn't asking for "sympathy".
I was asking a question.
My daughter isn't "expecting state support". She's looking for work, any work. Every day.
She is aware "life's tough".
We left her abusive father after he was arrested for threats to kill her.
She has recovered from depression and is one year into a demanding degree course despite still having PTSD.
She insisted on going half way up the country on her own even though she was a potential suicide risk and I didn't want her to go.
If there is anyone who doesn't need a "wake up call" it's her. Thanks.
I will be making her first payment on accommodation in July because she won't receive her maintenance loan until September. She'll have to pay me back.
The tenancy also doesn't commence until then. This is how some student accommodation works. I did not ask for advice or invite opinions on this.
Rather than making assumptions and jumping to conclusions, about lazy, mollycoddled students laying in bed expecting handouts, perhaps restrict yourself to posting only if you have some relevant, helpful information to impart that relates to the original question?
I didn't come on here for someone who knows nothing of my family situation to talk down to me or try to denigrate my daughter.
I won't be continuing a pointless argument with you. I received answers from people better equipped than you.
As my daughter would say, maybe in future "stay in your lane".0
