Lloyds Avios Rewards credit card and changing Avios scheme

in Credit cards
I have the Lloyds Avios Rewards credit card from which I earn Avios in my Avios account. I also have a separate BA Executive Club account where I accrue Avios from my flights and from purchases on my BA Amex Premium Plus credit card. I consolidate all my Avios by transferring from my Avios account into my BAEC account.
Due to the changing of the Avios scheme, Avios has created a new BAEC for me where, presumably, my Lloyds miles will accrue. I’d rather them all go into one pot, so I’ve told BAEC to merge the two BAEC accounts which can take up to seven days.
How do I ensure that my Lloyds rewards are accumulating in the right place after my Avios account closes? Lloyds told me I need to speak to Avios, who told me I need to speak to BAEC, who told me I need to speak to Lloyds, which isn’t helpful!

Merging the two accounts should result in the points going to the right place.
I originally had two Avios accounts as one was created when I took out the Lloyds cards, I got Avios to merge the new one into my existing one and points subsequently went to the right account.0 -
I think once the dust has settled on the merging of the accounts BA will remove duplicate accounts as long as your address and emails and obviously name are the same.
if you are really worried chat to rob at head for points he might know of any issues
you are aware you can still shop via here if you shop online

He’s tried to email and messenger BA but not had a response..0 -
Just a heads up if anyone else is searching. Tried to check current status of my points only to be told BA has no record of my account that was 'successfully created' in 2018. That's that then. Another fringe benefit made worthless by someone's or something's incompetance. Good thing I more-or-less cleared it out before the transfer, so no great loss of my benefit, just their loss of my goodwill.
