Does placing an order in store class as an online purchase.

My daughter recently purchased a pair of shoes for her wedding at an official stockist. The shop do not stock the shoes, the only have samples for the purpose of getting a feel for the quality.
They then measure and place the order with the shoe company for delivery to your chosen address.
My daughter ordered the shoes from the shop, which charged the standard list price plus postage.
On going onto the website, my daughter realised that the shoes had been considerably reduced online if she purchased direct, and also that postage is free when purchasing direct.
As the shop merely placed the order, does this fall under the same rules as online sales with a 14 day cooling off period, or does it fall under shop purchases rules and she only has a right to a full refund if something is wrong with the shoes.

Effectively, you are paying for the service of measuring and trying on samples. You can't do that online.0 -

True, but also she doesn't know if they will fit until she has received them and tried them on herself, it is merely the shop keepers opinion they will are the correct fit.0

Not sure yet. Just trying to clarify rights, as it seems it could be a bit of a grey area. Would prefer the retailer be helpful to be fair. Certainly won't be recommending them to anyone if they don't, in fact probably the opposite.0

They offer a service which your daughter used & they have charged her accordingly, so perhaps it is your daughter (or you) who needs to be fair.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

It IS a grey area in this case.
If the shoes do not fit, then the shop has got if wrong and needs to replace them with a pair that do fit. Or refund.
