Manic episode led to debts

i was wondering if you could help.... I've just recently come out of a bad manic episode and opened 4 store cards online and spent on them. I have really bad credit and I'm not sure how I got them. I'm sure I remember something about how it i could prove i wasn't of sound mind (my therapist will back this up) i could contest them and see if they would get rid of them. Is this correct? How would I go about it? Many thanks, Roxie.
