Halifax Kids Saver anyone?

Options
Has anyone else got the Halifax Kids Saver account and managed to get an account statement from them? I've had the interest statement but nothing showing transactions.

I've received account statements for other accounts I hold with them, but not this one. When I check my spreadsheets it looks like I have never had a statement. So I phoned up, and also tried the online chat window.

Nope - I've got to go into the branch  for something that should be automatic. All I want is an annual statement for heck's sake

Bye bye lunch hour. Honestly - if anyone can suggest another bank with similar rates I would close the accounts whilst I am there.....
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

  • The question might be better asked in the savings section?, might get a quicker response there.

Yeah ask in branch. I receive letters occasionally telling me about rate changes etc, and it’s all the more confusing because they open up two accounts per child and shift cash from one to the other after a year. I found it very difficult to get concrete info regarding rates and dates etc as there is absolutely no way to access the information online. I hate banking that can’t be done online but that’s the price we pay for the superior rates for the kids.

It wouldn't be a passbook account at all would it?
If so the passbook would be the statement.

I opened a kids regular saver and an ordinary childrens savings account for our 3 month old grandson about 2 months back, so no statements due yet, but I can see both accounts in my own internet banking.

In contrast, My 2 older grandchildren (12 and 8) had savings accounts which resulted from maturing kids regular savers, and these I could not view on line. They did however send annual statements.

I asked if Halifax could add these to my internet banking, but they said they could not, so as the balances were very small I just asked for them to be closed.
