credit file

hello

I had an IVA because of an ex-boyfriend getting out loans in my name and credit cards.

We lived together so he hid it from me. When I found out he basically left the country and I have no idea where he is so as the debt amounted to around £35k I couldn't afford payments and to live I entered into an iva.

due to a windfall, I finished my iva last year and its due to come off my credit file in October 2020

Is there any way to improve my credit file before then? or do I just have to wait it out?

  • You can start improving your credit history by applying for a credit card.

Use it every month for normal purchases then pay it off in full after each statement
