Cost to remove leylandii

We have 3 large (about 40ft) leylandiis at the far end of the garden, can anyone give me a rough idea as to the price we'd expect to pay a tree surgeon to cut down and remove them? The only access to the garden is via a side passage.

Get two local gardeners / tree surgeons in and ask for written quotes.

I have no idea where in the contry you are.

  • We live in Brum, we will get a few quotes but would be good to have a vague idea what sort of figure to expect first.

My son had 8 or 9 trees removed leaving the stumps. The trees were about 30ft but very wide and bushy. They had access from a tenfoot and removed all the wood. It took 3 men under 2days and they had all the equipment. It cost £800 last year and I believe he got a very good deal.

It'll be a half day for a 3 man team, plus a few waste loads. I'd expect £600-ish.

Yes I would expect the upper end of £500-£750 because of the side access and make sure the quote includes grinding out the stumps.
  • Thanks for the responses everyone.

You might also have to factor in new fencing because it is likely they will have damaged any existing fences.

I am just about to have a row taken out. 68 ft length about a dozen trees, around 30 ft. Cost £950 plus vat. That includes grinding the stumps.

The fencing is going to be £1200 including vat.
