Pet Insurance Premiums

I'm looking for pet insurance for my cat, who's about 8 years old. I've read the article by MSE and it's been helpful. It says that most insurers will raise their premiums in future years, but some don't and will stick with the same premium. Does anybody have any idea as to which insurers do this?

I've done some online quotations with several insurers, and they've been anything from £11 - £18 per mnth, but I'm worried that when my cat turns 10 or 12 or whatever, they'll raise the premium to something stupid and I'll be more or less stuck with them because he'll be too old for other insurers.

OR with the companies that keep the same premium, do they just quote more expensively to begin with and you end up paying more that way?

Anyone care to tell me what they're paying for a cat older than 10 years? I know location makes a difference, but just wanted an idea (I'm in London tho).

Thanks!
