Please stop calling this a fine, it is nothing of the sort.

I've noticed that this is for a residential site, if this is an own space issue, then there area a few avenues open to you to get your money back, and possibly more, but you will need to provide a little information so we can assess your situation and provide relevant advice.

first of all is this a lease/rental or what?
what dues your lease/freehold/rental etc say about parking?

    Thank you half way :)

I am renting the current property. Some properties have designated parking spots, others don't. Either way you must display a parking permit at all times which is applied for via UKCPM (I have 3 permits in total). Current the property does not have a designated parking spots so landlord/estate agent told me I can park anywhere not on the main road, double yellows or paved areas as long as I have a permit displayed. This is also what is on the signage which I have pictures of.

When I first got fined I appealed with photos (including their own) showing that I have my permit displayed, not on yellows etc NEXT TO their own sign that says this and they said where I had parked was 'fine worthy'. I even took pictures showing other vehicles that are parked on the side of roads also displaying permits that had NOT been fined in the same vicinity!

This particular claim is because I got fined 3 times in one day (22/09/2016). Since the original fines I had also asked where exactly I can and cannot park and to this day I still haven't got an answer aside from 'refer to the signs'.

It's been a real headache with these !!!!! but I have got evidence of everything and kept every single piece of paperwork including appeals etc.

who says you must display a permit?
rental agreement may overide any signs from some poxy parking company, likewise the head lease that your landlord has may be extremely useful in this respect.
with most residential cases, the parking company does not have the right to issue parking charges.

You are still calling it a "fine". It's nothing of the sort, just an invoice from a private company.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    This is great.

Thank you, I have read through my rental agreement and it does not mention about where to park anywhere. What does this mean?

Also thank you all for reminding me that these are not fines! I shall now refer to each 'invoice' as a 'mugging' haha.
  • Ukcpm signs normally refer to a parking charge per 24 hr period or part thereof from what I see on the forum.

Was the car moved at all on that date? That may be their basis for multiple charges. Flaky though.

No I was at work that day so it was the same place...they even took photos showing the exact same location lol. 3 fines...wow.

I've double checked the original invoices and all other relevant documentation and can confirm I have been fined 3 times on the same day without moving my car. On the official court claim letter it also is worded '22/09/2016, 22/09/2016 and 22/09/2016' :rotfl:

Have you checked with DVLA to see if they have requested your details three times?

No not yet. Prior to that though I was 'invoiced' by them at least 3 other times which I also stupidly paid (think it was £50 each time, one of which was my fault as I forgot to display my permit). They must've just had the mentality of 'Oh it's this guy AGAIN'.

Cheers guys will do so tonight. Anything else I can do in the meantime? Surely a Judge will look at this and just throw it out? It's sickening I've been taken to court over this crap.

My defence shouldn't be difficult should it?
