Amazon Echo Dot account Help

I have a subscription (Echo monthly £3.99) with my Amazon echo dot.
I have just upgraded to the larger Echo, can I transfer my account from the echo Dot to the new Echo device or do I have to cancel the echo dot then resubscribe again to the new device?

You aren't paying an echo monthly fee, it's for Amazon Music. So, you can just use the same account on both and use them in different rooms, at the same time.

I'm doing away with the echo dot on a single amazon account, it's states one device only per account.
Can you explain as a non techie person how I go about doing this.

OK, You don't need to do away with the echo dot (Unless you want to). The device it is using is the app on your phone.
Your second Echo will just be added to the app. This is how all of the smart home apps work.
