Address on licence is correct but all other docs go to old address

Hello. my Driving Licence has my current address on it. The logbook for a new car i bought recently came to my current address.

But the logbook for my old car went to my old address. Plus some recent documents have gone to the old address.

So im confused.

Ive told the DVLA about my new address but some stuff hasnt been updated.

Whats happended is when i bought my new car the dealer screwed up - which has led to 2 parking fines being sent to me at my old address. As far as I am concerned I can ignore them as by rights I should never have even known they were issued. (I will ask a separate question on the parking fines in the right forum) but.....

..my concern is that if the parking fine issuer is sent a "addressee no longer here" reply that they contact the DVLA and i get a fine - even though my licence is on my right address.

I welcome and help/
Thank you

You need to tell the DVLA separately for any license and vehicle you own they do not automatically cross check and change.
For example when we moved house we had to change both my and my wife's licence and send if 3 lots of v5 for the three cars we own

Yes, ignore them and come back when you have the bailiffs at your door.

Well done, right over your head and finished with an inane smiley.
They are in your name. As the legal keeper of the car you failed in your obligation to notify the DVLA.

    You certainly are confused....

Your car reg is not on your driving licence - your driving number is unique.

Logbook/registration certificate - car reg is unique.

    They are 2 separate databases.

Indeed, particularly since there is no requirement to have a driving licence to be a registered keeper of a vehicle.

How did the dealer "screw up"?

I assume that your old car went to the dealer in PX, and you completed and returned the V5C/3 trader slip to DVLA, right?

I'm guessing that your car change was sufficiently close in time to your house move that changing the address on the V5C would have meant a risk of the replacement not arriving in time? Assuming you had post forwarding in place, that's not a great issue in itself.

I think we all know that's a very stupid thing to do, don't we?
