My Human PVR 9150T has stopped recording. in the menu the Record option has disappeared and a games section is shown instead. I have run a factory reset but that has changed nothing. Any ideas what has caused this problem and how can I correct it.

Do you have any old recordings stored on the box, and if so, can you still view them? It appears losing the record function from the menu is a sign of some problem with the hard drive. Either a loose connection or a failed/failing hard drive.0

Has it stopped recording when you don't use the menu. i.e. press the red record button on the remote control while watching a programme?
It seems very strange to me. I've got a pvr-9150T and can't see any way you could get a game section in your menu. You haven't flashed in new software for the box have you?0 -
No new software has been added. It just stopped recording, the record symbol disappeared and Games symbol with some games took it place. I think the hard drive must have packed up. I spoke to Humax customer service and they were most unhelpful saying it was an old machine.0

Run the "format disk" option. You will lose all recordings but it may well work fine again. Will you still trust it? Perhaps not but it may just be a glitch and now it will work for another year.
Or take the hard disk out, put it in a windows computer, find special software and instructions on the internet to repair the index. Beyond me but I have read about it.
Or dump it and gamble on a slightly second hand Bt youview box off ebay for about £40. 500gb of storage made by humax and does everything the old ones did and more...
My brothers humax stopped like this the other month. Formatting it restored it to health. At least so far.0
