Recycling cables

Hi everyone—hope I'm in the right place.

I'm having a major declutter before moving house and have a bag full of cables without their associated devices. I don't need any of them but am loathe to just bin them if they can be recycled. Does anyone know of anywhere I can take them for this?

    Local school with a science club?

    Drop them off at a charoty shop that sells electrical devices, a few wont bother because they need to test them.

    Council tips have areas for recycling electronic goods. Try there. They will be stripped for their metal.
