JVC Digital Video Camera GR-D70 driver needed

I have come across some old videos I took on this camera (Digital Videocassette DV tapes). It still seems to work ok because I can view the films on the camera screen. However I cannot get a picture up either on my TV (using one of the usb sockets) or on my Windows 10 laptop.
I have tried downloading an updated driver from google but seem to end up at an invitation to take out a subscription each time.
Does anyone know if I can get a driver without doing this, please?
The camera is probably about seven years old.

This is probably a firewire camera. Firewire is supposed, in theory, to be plug & play with your video editing software, though support for it has been patchy with every newer version of Windows that comes out.
