unfortunately I lost. I am very upset with this decision.
when I referenced my tenancy agreement, I only stated half of the clause.
the full clause is "The tenants must use the parking permit supplied when parking in the allocated parking space which belongs to the property to avoid being issued with a parking ticket. Any parkings tickets received by the Tenant as a result of not dispalying the permits will be the Tenants responsibility to pay. The Tenants must ensure that the parking permit is returned along with the property keys at the end of the tenancy."
I only referred to the first sentence. The judge was caught up on the second sentence, and didn't really hear me out.
I made the point that the claimaint cannot charge £50 legal representative fees - she said they could.
I argued that they misquotes a phrase from the lease - she said it doesn't matter.
I must say I then gave up and that was that.
Thanks everyone for the help. Guess i shouldn't have used my tenancy agreement0 -
Seems like a weird week of a few strange losses (Premier League, and court cases!).
Move house, asap. This is not a comfortable place to live. Not joking, and you will now be marked out as a victim to aim for. Don't be surprised if your permit gets dislodged or you are not sent a new one when everyone else is, to target you.the full clause is "The tenants must use the parking permit supplied when parking in the allocated parking space which belongs to the property to avoid being issued with a parking ticket.
