Go for belted, more compatible and just as safe when fitted correctly. Much cheaper too. You shouldn't have to pay more than 140. I switch mine into grandparents cars 3 times a week and it takes under a minute.

Be aware that you may have short seatbelts. It can still be fitted correctly by threading the belt before plugging in. Rather than plugging in belt and then pulling round back of seat. I'm very happy with it

It took me ages to choose the right seat, I agree it's certainly easier buying a car!
Reviews do indeed say that correctly fitted belt secured seats are just as safe as Isofix ones. It does seem that there is more likelyhood of a belt secured seat not being fitted correctly though. We now use an Isofix seat for our grandchild. Its predecessor was a belt secured 0 size seat and in our car the belts lock if you pull them out so far and then release the tension. It is then not possible to pull them out further without fully retracting the belt first. We soon developed the knack of pulling the belt out fully before wrapping it round the seat, but it did catch us out a few times. The Isofix seat is also rotating, which is very useful for putting a more uncooperative child in. It rotates into either rear or forward facing, and is not that difficult to remove, should you need to. I'm not sure you can get that feature with a belt fastened seat.
The parents have two cars, one without Isofix, so have a belt secured seat that fits in either car. It's horses for courses, as they say. :)

The isofix one is great but I'm not sure it's 100 quid extra great. Saying that, having the seatbelt across the seat can sometimes be a pain.

I'd certainly recommend it as a good safe seat with a great deal of longevity

joe - I can also recommend the Joie Every Stage (we don't have isofix) they are very comfortable well built seats.

I looked at all sorts in stores when we were choosing second seat and I couldn't find a single seat that felt as high quality - even from ones that were selling for double the price.

It's the best extended rear facing 0-12 years old car seat for the money hands down.

Bought a second for our second due in a few weeks!
    Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

    Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,000

    Thanks everyone.
    All advice much appreciated.
    Will take recommendations given.
I like to do my homework, and seek advice when nescesary.
With great grandkids , and grandkids, you seem to take more care, and worry over them, than your children?
Having just been rear end shunted, it has brought it to the forefront.
Rear facing it is, belted, as it will be staying in situ.
I know they will travel FF when in , as they already do in Son and daughters cars, that is something I have no control over.
But, in mine, it is RF.
Thanks for all your advice guys
