Morning diary
Just updated husbands cc and the balance is now £4100. There are some things on there that I would have paid off by now but I'm holding onto my money until I know what is happening with employment for me. Just in case.
I have found some more jobs to apply for should this interview this week not work out and am feeling excited about the future now.

Evening all
Working week done. Only 9 days left of this teaching job now. I was really wobbly about this week on Sunday. Husband is working away all week and I had the interview and life coaching so it’s quite a big one for me - lots to handle but I’m doing it!!
It’s funny what people are life when they know you are leaving. A few colleagues have said its such i shame I’m leaving teaching as I’m so good at it. Apparently I should stop being so hard on myself too as I am so good. It makes me think why we don’t tell each other how fab we are everyday? I felt really buoyed up after that and was seriously considering staying in teaching for a moment!!
I’m so ready for a change though and need to do this. I can always come back to it later if I want to.
Nothing much to report money wise - limping through to husbands pay day next Friday. Going to do another online food shop tonight and prep for my interview!!
Hope everyone is good! I’m crap at writing on others diaries now but do read them!!

I have great news! I have been offered the job after my interview today! And I accepted! It won’t feel real until I get the contract though. The pay is about £900 to a £1000 each month she said which is what I need. It’s permanent too - hurrah! I did have a wobble after the interview for leaving teaching again and explained that to the lady and she understood and even suggested I have time to think but I decided to take a leap of faith and go for it!! It’s going to lead me to other things I know it.
Hurrah!!

Congrats Crunch,
That must be such a relief. I wish I had the courage sometimes to take the leap of faith. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Congratulations, fantastic news! From a school perspective, having a TA or HTLA who has QTS is beneficial as they can be very flexible and cross roles if need be. When do you start?paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

It seems to be quite a common thing, in my youngest's year group there are 2 teachers and 4 TAs, but they're all actually qualified teachers!
Congrats on finding a job that fits the work/life balance you were hoping forDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

Morning!
Thank you! Yes start after half term I think. It’s full time but the same money as 2 days a week teaching - but no doing stuff at home!! I will be able to focus more on home life in the evenings and get my life back a bit. I will have more head space for home stuff.
I may go back to teaching at some point but this is a good side step for me for now for a few years while my children are small.
I’m very excited!
