Hi all,

For those of you having an aqua card, do you have a contactless or non-contactless one?

I got my aqua reward card last year and had a replacement in January. But both are non-contactless.

Does it matter what brand you have? Like aqua advance has but reward has not

I must be the subsubprime customer to not have it.

No, many don't have it. But all the cards have a contactless version.

2 aqua cards -both non contactless.
Quite content as I'm not gong to be using CC contactless very much at a;; since building up medium 550 balance via Tesco (including contactless tea and sandwiches) mostly petrol etc.
Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb

I want a contactless because this card was skimmed once and thereafter i am a bit reluctant to use it.
  • Aqua don't issue contactless as standard. Only on your second card I believe (ie. your original has expired, a replacement is a re-issuance of the first card with the same expiry).

Neither mine, nor my wife's, are contactless.

When contactless could be performed offline, it made sense for a sub-prime lender to restrict it; But now all transactions are online, it's just behind the times.

Added to the fact that not all cardholders are sub-prime (0.5% cashback on fee-free foreign spend for the Aqua Reward), it can be frustrating not to have it contactless but as a foreign spend card, it's not the end of the world.
