I doubt if any of us phone him it will make things any better. as conrad rightly said woolwich has been like this for a long time, if they were going to get their act together im sure they would have done it by now.
Here's dreaming though!I am a Mortgage Adviser

I feel like a voice in the wilderness when it comes to the Woolwich - their service was great for the first nine months of this year...I had a remortgage that took 11 days in August. They then got overwhelmed and have been honest enough to acknowledge this.
It is frustrating (I got cut off after 35 mins today) but at least it is 0845 now, not 0870 (local not national rates). Abbey are not too bad locally, MM, one of my RI's did 35% of his cases through them this YTD (too many!) and has no issues.I am a Mortgage Adviser You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Have always been a bit of a fan of Abbey never ever had a problem with their service standards, they are a company that actually WANT to do business and will bend over backwards to get a borderline case through. No such help with woolwich. Their call centre staff, when you do get through, are tired and disinterested, and they do not take personal responsibility for the case. Abbey go out on a limb, woolwich make you want to hack off your limbs. Personally I do not want to burden my clients with a mortgage with a company who price to achieve a good market share, but don't have the support staff to actually support the level of applications they receive. If the woolwich had any sense, they would scrap woolwich and start again from scratch, new name, new staff and new technology. if they cannot do that then they must pitch themselves to receive less business to offer better service. IMO they are experiencing a slow painful death!I am a Mortgage Adviser
