I transfer our money from the Co-op Bank to Caja Granada, our bank here in Spain, every few months. It costs £8 but can take up to a week to arrive. You can have it quicker but it costs more.
However, provided you have yourself organised £8 is all it costs.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
You may also want to check the cost of transferring money with HSBC in the UK - it might be cheaper as the transfer would then be between different HSBC accounts..
Otherwise, can you give an indication of the approx amount/frequency you are talking about as there may be other ways such as PayPal etc..

I would imagine that you could get the equivalent of £200 per day from a cashpoint machine rather than phone your bank at a cost of £30 with possibly the same again for the actual transfer.0
