Exactly my point.

Doozergirl's weight calculations are especially pertinent here - you don't want to be near or underneath a wall if it decides to collapse.
And at 1.9 metres high and getting on for half a tonne, it'd do a good job of squashing a human being flat I'd say.
OP you can get new "old" bricks. Otherwise it's a matter of cleaning all the mortar off before rebuilding.
If I was doing that I'd "dismantle" rather than "knock down" the existing.0
