Need to buy two need tyres. Local Ford quoted £76+ for Michelin premium for Ford Fiesta. I can get Goodyear efficient grip compact at £54 approx at kwitfit or blackcircles. Any advice whether to buy online or get them fitted at the local Thanks

find a local independent tyre fitter (maybe the one used by blackcircles) and buy directly from them. Why pay a middle man?
My local tyre place easily beats black circle quotes.

Check the price at the nearest Formula 1 Autocentre. I find they are the cheapest.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

My local tyre place is way more expensive the blackcircles and rarely has the tyres I want in the sizes (plural, different size front and rear on my car) I require.

  • If you opt for one of those mobile tyre fitting services for home, work, etc., do not use TyresOnTheDrive.
Their tyre fitter in conjunction with the remove/install machine damaged a brand new, never been on a car, alloy wheel last Wednesday.

I have been converted to part worns. Local place does them and you wouldn't know they weren't new. £25 a tyre including fitting.

The local indy on the estate at work fit black circles, last time I got some the conversatation went something like this

Indy - "you should have come direct to me for tyres, would have been cheaper"
Me - "Ok, what would the price have been?"
    Indy - "£65 for brand X"
Me - "ok, but what about brand Y like I bought?"
    Indy - "£75"
    Me "Black circles were £70"
    Indy - "oh"

Similar here, my local cannot (or will not !) come anywhere close to on line prices.
