Hi guys hope I find you all well.
I need advise please.
I purchased a new dishwasher on 14 April 2018 and it's taken on a fault.. where it won't turn off after a program and i have to pull the plug to get it off..
Been trying now for 4 days with company (Ao) who inform me that I need to contact the model device team to try and arrange a engineer to come out and attempt a repair..
It's not 2 months old yet. So what are my options?
Do i have to accept the engineers visit or could I get my favoured replacement?
Thanks for your time guys

You are not immediately entitled to a replacement/refund. A repair/refit is within the rights of the seller/manuf under the consumer rights act. Reasonable time isnt defined, but must not cause 'significent inconvenience'
Only if the seller/manuf agree that the device is unrepairable, or more economical to replace will they do so, or may offer you a refund.
Some places have more consumer favourable customer service terms than others so your mileage will vary depending on who you are dealing with. Some may immediately give you a refund, some may give you the run around for a few weeks, something which can be border line acceptable under the consumer rights act

Outside 28 days you must give them a chance at repair . Then if not fixed then push for a new machineEx forum ambassador

If you find a fault with your product after the 30 day cut off (but within 6 months of owning it) you can choose whether you'd like us to either repair or replace it for you (unless one option is disproportionate). If it's not possible for us to offer a repair or replacement, you can choose to keep the product and receive a partial refund or return the product and receive a full refund.0
