POPLA stage of PCN Appeal
Hazapug
Hello
I have been following the Newbies guidance and I am at the stage of having received an email rejecting the initial online appeal. I could do with some guidance about how to appeal to POPLA please.
I have never said who the driver was and I used your standard letter to BPA registered private companies - despite the final paragraph they have emailed me their reply rather than send it via post.
I am dealing with First Parking and the car was/is claimed to have been on a university campus within a permit holders only area.
Firsly, I am unhappy with the signage as the fine on these is not a large font that I believe it should be. Also it is a curved sign that is very wordy. I will work out how to post a photograph of it (it will be the one they posted as their 'evidence') and will add it to this post asap.
Secondly, the photographic evidence that they have provides no landmarks that place my vehicle where they claim it to have been. It is just a car registered to me that is pictured among other cars with a few trees in the background.
Please could somebody advise me on what my next steps should be.

Use all the template appeal points available to you from post 3 of the NEWBIES.
Not the landowner, no standing to issue charges, inadequate signage, non POFA complaint NTK etcetera. You will need to check the NTK against the POFA to see if/where it fails, and then point that out to the assessor.
You can upload images to a web hosting site such as tinypic or postimage.cc and then paste the URL here, but change http to hxxp. Someone here will then change it back to a live link.
Post your draft here before sending it and the regulars will give it a once over for you.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I have just searched through the emails again and I have not had a Notice To Keeper letter.
When I logged in to appeal I had to check a box to say I was not the driver as the only alternative was to admit to being the driver.
They emailed me after this requesting the details of the driver which I did not respond to.
And then I have had the Rejection Letter that has a POPLA code on it.
Do I wait for the NTK to arrive?0 -

Sign shown above.
Not as such, quite the opposite, you hope it won't, before day 56. It probably won't be sent at all, but the trick is to time your POPLA appeal so it reaches POPLA before the code runs out (day 32 from the rejection letter at the latest, online) and getting as near as dammit past day 56 from the parking event!I have had the Rejection Letter that has a POPLA code on it.
Do I wait for the NTK to arrive?
You know what your main, first appeal point will be, of course...the winning point!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
