Interestingly too, the link they supply for storage companies which do accept instasure insurance, is broken.
  • Whereabouts are you?

I work for a self storage company so if you need any help you can PM me.

One thing I would say is steer clear of online insurance (Insurastore etc.) - their cover is poor and really all about saying you have insurance rather than actually having insurance IMO.

Most self storage companies don't sell their own insurance and therefore aren't regulated by the FSA. There is a huge problem with underinsuring within the insurance industry as a whole, and thats why there is a minimum amount.

    Hi all,
I have a question: we had our household stuff storred in the self storage place but we didn't have extra insurance. The self storage space cought fire and all our stuff are now gone. Can we go back to the owner and submit the claim on his insurance?
How do we go about it?

    Thanks
