Business bank account, overseas spending?

Hello,

I'm in the process of trying to figure out which business bank account is the best to go for, so I'd love to know if anyone has any advice!

The main issue is that the majority of our business spending is done overseas (USA) so I'm wondering if there's a bank that's particularly useful for this? (Basically, I'm buying stuff from America and selling it in the UK). Turnover atm is low as I'm a start-up.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I bank with Santander but find that it is always best to send foreign currency payments with a money transfer company. They quote a sum in Pounds to pay a Dollar invoice, I make a bank transfer to their UK bank account and they pay the US company.


I think you can separate choosing a business bank account from making international payments.
