    A bit late. Buying daylight simulation bulbs won't have an effect if it is photo(light) therapy you need. There are several websites that will give you information about the lamps and what is available, as well as more about the condition itself. There is a helpful forum on one of them as well. I don't have anything to do with either company, but have found the information useful.

    SOme companies will allow you to hire a lamp until you decide if it's right for you.

    But be aware BRIGHT light (which is all SADLIGHTS provide) can be obtained far more cheaply by buying any bright light source that does NOT have SAD on the box.
    Writing SAD on any bright light is NOT an excuse to charge 3 times the price.

    Similarly remember these lights treat the symptoms of winter depression only. Stop the light treatment. You will feel worse again in a few days.

    Treating the underlying cause will not only improve feelings of well being but help your health in many other different ways.
