Just got one of these, unsure what to do ? Previous posts involving RCP are all saying just to ignore it completely and not even bother with an appeal, does it make a difference if it's in Scotland ?

    Who or what is RCP?

You need to read post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread where you will find a Q&A devoted to people living in Scotland.

Remove all clues to the identity of the driver from your post.

DELETE THE SECOND AND THIRD PARAGRAPHS FROM YOUR POST! Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.

The information about PCNs in Scotland is specifically covered in post 1 of the sticky thread for NEWBIES. This will answer your question completely and negate the need for you to ask anything further unless you get court papers from a Scottish Court.
    Mmmmm, flying bacon.

If you are happy to pay a bunch of scammers 50 quid, bung a few quid my way. I promise to spend it well.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D

Ignore completely in Scotland - see NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 which has specific Scotland advice.
I'm happy to pay the 50 quid fine (i've been parking there for about 6 months without paying and nobody has ever said anything)
Any idea why landowners contract parking companies to hassle and intimidate people, the vast majority of whom have done nothing wrong, or have made a very minor error in parking? Many can't find the money to pay 'the fine', even if they were 'happy to pay'!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • One thing i have noticed, although it may be nothing. The website lists the ID for the parking spot in the drop down menu as 1 number, but on the notice it says the ID is a number completely different.

You're advised to ignore. Keep picking at the sore and it can only get worse.

Assume you mean RCP Parking based in Norfolk

As per everything above, if they don't know who
the driver is in Scotland they are up the river without
    a paddle.

However be prepared to get stupid debt collectors
making threats that they cannot carry out because
they are useless and powerless ... probably the
idiotic DRP ... YOU JUST IGNORE THESE IDIOTS

Pay the scammer if you wish, or maybe Fruitcake because
    he is not a scammer:)

IE: IGNORE SCAMMERS AND DO NOT PAY OR EVEN
    TALK TO THEM
