Scratches on brand new studio monitors

Hello everyone, I hope you are OK and can offer me some advice.
I purchased a pair of JBL LSR305 studio monitors for my home studio, and when I unboxed them and placed them on my desk, noticed there was a few scratches near the tweeter on one monitor.
Now, I wouldn't mind if I purchased these as B stock, but I bought them as new from a well known store online.
I have contacted them via their live chat, and they said they can not help but will pass it to returns.
The thing is, I don't really want to have to return them, as they sound and work great. It's just the scratches. I also am recovering from a serious illness so it will be hard for me to get out of the house to ship it back to them. Really I would like to come to an agreement that one is B stock, and this be reflected in the price.
Where do I stand on this? They were purchased as brand new items, but one has either got past quality control with the scratches, or was a item that had been out of the box before it got to me.
They are small in length, but pretty deep. There is about 5 marks.
Thank you all, Conan.

It is the sellers choice so it's up to them. Have you even asked them yet?0

Yes, I've asked them- they just didn't get back to me.
But today after I contacted again yesterday, they did.
The particular model is out of stock, as it is a very popular model.
They offered me a refund to bring the cost down to what they actually pay for the monitors- so a £10 refund, plus VAT.
This brings the price down to around what these monitors in B stock usually are, so I am happy with that. I've let them know I will accept the offer.0
