Currys/Creation finance not taking repayments

Terrible that a money saving forum has turned in to an avoid paying debt forum. This site really attracts the chancers and beggars belief that people come on here like this OP to ask for tips on how to avoid paying what they owe - regardless if there is an error on the billing process. Even worse - people actually respond with tips. These days morality has gone out of the window!
Please readers don't indulge these people.
How typical of some posters on this forum who are so quick to judge with zero advice to offer. I have been reading MSE for years and for the most part find it very useful for paying my debts and to save money with tips. I think I deserve a little break and am doing well, hopefully debt free in a couple of years from now.
Get down off your moral high horse, have a relaxing cup of tea and a peaceful afternoon.:D0 -
Here's some advice - pay what you owe! I don't give advice on how to show others how to avoid what they rightfully owe. I DO have morals, you are correct.
I am very relaxed thank you - have never avoided paying my bills and have a clear conscience.
I do wish the moderators would stop these types of posts - this site is supposed to be about money saving, not how to avoid paying debts.0 -

Perhaps you're unaware of how Direct Debits work. The OP can't do anything to transfer money to the appropriate company or companies; it is up to them to collect payment. So I cannot see how the OP is avoiding payment.
The only tip given was to put money into a savings a/c so that it was available when the finance company eventually woke up to their incompetence. A tip which the OP seemed to have taken on board.
The chancers, debt avoiders and people without morality you talk of seem only to exist in your imagination.0 -

.
The OP may not be able to make payments, but what the OP can do is inform the finance company of the omission, which, to be fair to normanna, the OP seems reluctant to do.
(As you are a newbie poster, OP, it should also be pointed out that MSE frowns at posters throwing insults at people)..(I just lurve spiders!)

Nonsense. I am very well aware of how DDs work - very likely far more than you do. Nothing stopping the OP contacting the company and putting this right in one way or another. Some people just try to justify getting something for nothing and then shout about it on forums
Far too many posts on this forum these days about avoiding debts and I'm sure others will agree with me.0 -
Just thought I'd give you a heads up here. There's a huge internal error present with the Creation / Your Plan system that's preventing Direct Debits being taken. I've been trying since July to make payments to them, they just won't take them, be it Direct Debit or Online. My account shows money outstanding, I click to make a payment and it states 'Your balance has been cleared'. When I ring them up I wait an hour for them to say 'I don't know why' ....Ombudsman is dealing with them now.0
