I think your best bet is a raised bed, filled with free draining soil contained by a wall of stones, or similar, to take them above normal soil level. As you're not in the warmest area, they might also need some protection in winter.Deleted_User wrote: »I want to grow ememurus. In my last garden I learned that every place has limitations. Battling against nature can be unpredictable, and often unrewarding, but sometimes things work out and we have a nice surprise.....like my nerines that spend long periods with their roots in water!0
