My mum found some old money from our holiday about 15 Year ago.
So took it to ASDA and Thomas Cook and both said the money is " too old " ? So i asked if she could keep it as we don't need it, and she said she can put it in charity.

What sort of Lira, Turkish or Italian (or even something else)? If it's Italian I would imagine it is now worthless. If it's Turkish what denomination is it? Turkey replaced their currency in 2005, if it's from before that it will probably be notes with a very large number and again will be worthless. New Lira notes may well still be valid, as Euro notes should also be.0

There are brokers who deal with obsolete currencies, although don't expect to get top dollar!
