Electric Vehicle Tariffs
With the exception of the Ecotricity model, anyone know of a sensible Company offering a reduction for EV's at home? Yorkshire based.
Do you think we should now have a Tariff designed specifically for EV owners? 13 votes

Hi - welcome to the form. OVO Energy; Scottish Power; E.ON; Green Energy and Good Energy come to mind. That said, you need to work out when you intend to charge your car. For example, if it is overnight charging - and your EV has delayed start - then you might be better off on a simple E7 tariff. If you have some flexibility about when to charge, then Octopus Agile might give you free EV charging.
This forum is a good source of information about EVs and related matters:

NO: Not required for me as yetI just use E7. A combination of solar panels taking up daytime usage and charging the car a couple of times a week on E7 (as well as running the washer/dryer and the dishwasher overnight) tips the scales well in favour of E7 for me.0

YES: Pure & Simple with Mobile charging discountsI swapped from Ecotricity to Ovo for the two years subscription to the Polar charging network. I've got a 40kWh Nissan Leaf and can now reach both daughters without stopping en route and there's a Polar charger within a mile of both places.
At home I've got 4.6kW of solar panels, a Tesla Powerwall 2 and a Zappi smart charger. I'm also on Economy 7 for the cases where I need the full 6.6kW of charging on the rare occasions when I have returned from one trip and am going on another the following day and solar is not enough. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.
