    Hello all

Glorious down here, bit further on than JackieO, towards the sea.
Been potting on in greenhouse, left some plants on patio table ready for allotment today, and they’ve all been pulled and pecked at for nesting materials!

Dinner will be repeat of yesterday as cooked two lots of chicken with tarragon, and whatever from allotment.

Bike ride later along the prom, and gardening club tonight.

Went to see The Book Club yesterday, very good.

    Take care all

    Morning everyone,

I've returned from a messy stag do in Ibiza. I hope everyone is doing ok :)

I myself am still recovering from the weekend. I (as usual) burnt my shoulders on the first day so I'm now resemble some sort of snake I'm peeling that much.

It's going to be a long day for me as not only am I working during the day, but I am playing host to a business dinner tonight for 30 people. I expect to get home around 11.30/12.00.

Hopefully I'll get some time to catch up on the going's on
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, especially those of you who are not well, and Nelski, keep off that leg Nels, rest now and reap the benefits later.

Not a good night. OH woke me just after 3am and announced he had a dizzy!! first one for almost 6 months. I gave him one of the pills the Dr said to give him, eventually he went off to sleep, needless to say I only dozed from then on.

I have just taken his breakfast through for him,see how he goes this morning.

I have to tackle the ironing this morning, I just did not bother with it last week and although I do not iron much the pile is getting higher.

A bit of a waste of time yesterdays visit to the town, got a couple of things I needed and my glasses sorted. We will have to go in again next Sunday.

Please can someone send me a PM with the link to Gers picture, I have looked on the green fingers board and cannot find it. THanks.

Camelot, I'm a big fan of the live screenings and it seems more and more productions are doing them. It was started at the National Theatre by a friend of DDs. Funny story, when DD was a teenager she had a horrible boyfriend (she later admitted he was blackmailing her to stay with him) and after she finally got rid of him I used to tell her to go out with Dan, her best friend from school. She said it would be like going out with her brother - it shows how poor my gaydar is because Dan is now the boyfriend of said National Theatre person.

BTDT, I'm another who has had investigations and a lumpectomy for a pre-cancerous condition. I may well be one of those people the papers keep saying have had unnecessary breast ops because their condition might never turn cancerous. All I can say is that I'm grateful the nasty cells are gone and I don't have to worry every time I have a mammogram that they might develop into something worse.

Oh well, another day of hammering on the roof, we thought they might be finished by today but I think it might drag on a bit longer, especially as tomorrow is supposed to be high winds.

Must admit, ive been fortunate, not having breast lumps. Having each child lowers the risk of developing breast cancer i read somewhere. Not sure if its true but ive given birth 6 times so i like to think so. Up until 10 years ago i was still producing milk. Youngest is 22! Doctor said it was my hormones and he was right. Once i hit the menopause it dried up.

Morning blood pressure readings are acceptable.

    Good morning

Feeling a lot better today as took an illegal shower and washed my hair ...shouldn't really but its dressing change day so i figured couldn't do much harm after all they let me shower daily in the hospital which i was surprised about they have slackened the rules lots since my last hip I remember I had to use that revolting dry shampoo for weeks last time and a bowl wash lol.

Didnt manage the washing yesterday so will have another go today and a little kitchen tidy. Managing a bit on my crutches now but everything takes sooooo long. Not pushing it I just like to get up and move every hour or so or I stiffen up. Leg is still about three times the size of normal which is alarming good job its so warm i can wear summer dresses rather than my usual uniform of skinny jeans...my legs cannot be accused of being skinny right now:eek:

Plans today are to continue my binge watching of love island series 1 on netflix :o I know I know but its good brain dead viewing

Food wise may finish off the rest of the dominos pizza from last week with some garlic bread and a salad. Lazy and easy

Big hugs everyone enjoy your days x

    Morning all,
Didn't have a very good night, too hot and much tossing and turning, coupled with Mr Fix It snoring continuously even when he was on his side :(. But I should be grateful that he is feeling somewhat better this morning.
Today I have put out some of yesterdays washing as it was mainly dry but not completely and I've also washed the hall rug. Fingers crossed the rain will hold off long enough, it's very muggy so we could do with a storm to clear the air.
I have emptied the DW and refilled it and made a start on packing for our holiday. Most of it goes on hangers straight from the house into the van but some of it needs bagging. I spent 30mins looking for my walking trousers, eventually found them in the spare wardrobe which I had already checked 3 times . On the plus side I did find my belt which has been missing for ages :T.
This afternoon Mr Fix It will take Dad to buy a gas cylinder ready for the winter and he also wants another haircut  ( Dad not Mr Fix It.... he only needs a polish :rotfl: ). For goodness sake we're only going to be away for 2 weeks, not 6 months !
I will make a start on tea in a min as we are having braised steak with onion gravy. It will go in the slow cooker for a few hours, so I only have to do the mash and veg later.

Nelski I wish I had skinny legs too, mine are short fat and hairy :p. Look after yourself and take things slowly.
Speky glad to see you back in one piece :D
Right better get a wriggle on or the baby won't get a new bonnet this side of Christmas :D
Hope everyone has a good day.
Take care and hugs to anyone who needs or wants one.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently

Nels trotters up now lady and TV on and no more hobbling around You are allowed to hobble to the vino or gin stash now and again but rest and relax a bit .You will soon be back and up and around again I know its not easy I too was not a patient patient and hated being stuck in one place but let your body heal and it will tell you when to stop.

I sadly had to have a mastectomy, but I had no lumps ,bumps or pain and mine was picked up on a mammogram and I was convinced that they had got the xrays muddled up and some poor soul had my xrays, so it doesn't always follow that it will be that it could be any amount of other things ,maybe a blocked duct but seeing the breast clinic and getting treatment asap is vital, try not to worry though as it won't help.We are all rooting for you honey

DGS Ben just messaged me from Mexico City and he said its not that hot and almost mild there at the moment, but I'm glad as hopefully it will let him become acclimatised better as it can get very warm there

DGS Jack has just done a big media A level exam this morning so I am going to find a decent cake to take around later for him he only has two more exams to do then he is finished

All the washing is dry at least and the sun is getting warmer, I must remember to water the roses tonight

    Cheers chums JackieO xx

Also healing vibes for Ly1a - a different infection in each ear sounds horrid.
