Drive by valuation still a thing?

Sorry Google has only thrown up old information so just after something up to date.

My property should have been valued today for the buyers lender. In setting it up via my estate agent they said the surveyor would collect keys from then. I said there was no need as I happened to be home all day, ao could let the surveyor in.

As you might have guessed nobody has called in today to value the house. I'm just wondering if its possible its been done from the street or even without visiting. Or should i be getting onto my estate agent? If somebody does need access we do need to arrange it as it usually means getting the dog out for the day.

Thanks.

Some lenders do drive by viewings and some will just do desk top valuations. So it could have been carried out with nobody knocking on.

Id give the estate agent a ring. You would imagine if they planned a drive by they wouldnt have bothered contacting the agent to arrange for collecting keys.

Our buyers valuer was here about 1/2 hour, in a tiny 2 bed house.

Yes if picking up keys had never been mentioned I'd not have given it a second thought. Will see what my estate agent says.
