I have started to receive calls from a robotic female voice telling me my internet connection has been compromised and to give them my IP address. Have hung up. Each call has come from 01264 360344 and 01225 37984 and 0191 5165054

Googled and these appear to be prolific. I am with EE who don't appear to have a blocking system, that is, unless you know better.

    Hello,

Choose to Refuse helps you put a stop to nuisance or unwanted calls by stopping them from getting through to you. You can block up to ten numbers (some numbers are excluded from this service).

    Using Choose to Refuse

To bar the last call you answered – Dial 14258, then when asked to confirm, press **
To bar other numbers at any time – Dial 14258, enter your PIN number (default is 1234)
then one of the options below and follow the instructions given over the phone.

To add a number – Press 1, enter the full phone number (including area code), then press #

To review the list – Press 2

To change PIN – Press 3

To finish – Press 9 or hang up

Please note: If a number is added to your Choose to Refuse list, the caller will be notified that you're not accepting calls from that number.

You can also register your landline number with the TPS (https://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/number_type.html) register your wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. Hope that helps.

I have to say that having the ability to block just 10 numbers is awfully shortsighted, with spammers nowadays you'd use that up in the first week once your number's out there.

No money saver would pay £60 annually to bock 10 numbers using this pathetic EE "Choose to refuse" service.

Most other telecoms providers provide this for free, shame on EE for not mentioning the charge!

Especially when the charge is more than a new phone set which has better features built-in.
