MSE Poll: Should the railways be renationalised?

i voted to re-nationalise the infrastructure. And by private companies to manage it. Surely only one company can operate a certain line, so let them bid based on the number of drivers/guards they're willing to employ and review every 2 years

Its very easy to say re-nationalise when the cost of doing so, and the further cost of the increased subsidy each and every year inst coming out of your pocket.


So - lets put 1% on student loans, decrease benefits by 1% reduce pension by 1% income tax up 1% and put up corporation tax by 5%.


That should just about cover the costs. Now lets re-run the poll and see who puts their money where their mouth is.

So im shocked by this poll results honestly - the nationalised bit of the rail network is the biggest cluster **** of all of it... yet some people want more.
