If you mean that there's an amount that was pre-authorised but not then taken, leaving it ring-fenced and unavailable for use, then this will typically drop off by itself after about a week. Strictly speaking, of course it's their money not yours that's being withheld, but if you're close to your limit then that's a distinction that you won't be particularly interested in!
