I can relate to that. Last night I threw away some oranges, lemons and some fennel-bought them with something in mind and they all ended up in the bin!!!
lately though, We've had alot to deal with and sort out and i haven't had time to turn round, never mind anything else. Just lost a very close family member and had to sort out funeral, house etc etc, and there's still loads to do!! So maybe this time I threw things out due to circumstance, but there have been many other occasions when things have just gone to waste!!! and no excuses/turns of events etc etc. So I know exactly what you mean.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Well I came in over budget
I did buy some bits and bobs for xmas though so that coupled with the monster price rises is probably why
But I'm still spending a lot less than I used to so I wont beat myself up about it
Well done to you all for managing to cut down your spending:TJune Grocery Challenge 270.80/250July Grocery Challenge 0/3000 -
It was all going so well, was going to come in under budget, then my daughter was in hospital. So i nipped to M&S for some "nice" food for her, its so expensive:eek:
Anyway, you live and learn, will not be doing that this month! Lost the plot slightly(a lot) this week. Will be more controlled this month! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Went to local Health food store before the end of the November month and bought some humous (sp?) that was reduced to 45p a pot (got 2 so 90p), rice cakes (59p) and some tofu (£1.90) bringing me over budget by 89p. I think however considering the rise in food prices and setting a lower budget than usual that isn't that bad hehe.
Total spent = £35.89
Left of budget = -£0.89 :rotfl:I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
We have done really bad.
Budget £240 Spent £409.52
Okay, we had to stock up, as we just moved. Hopefully next month will be lots better!

I know Mike, I was paying 78p a litre delivered at the last house, I was a bit shocked when he came for the first payment a couple of weeks ago. I really would like to be able to support the local milk delivery and 56p a pint stops me spending £5 every time I pop to the shop for milk
I will have to consider reducing it if I need to however.
I never pop to the shop for milk, I buy it once a week and freeze it. (I have a milk guzzling toddler, we get through a fair bit)0 -
I had high hopes of coming in under £200 and was feeling very pleased with myself. However the shop we usually do on a Saturday won't be possible tomorrow so I had to do it yesterday, which was still November - doh
. Oh well still strictly speaking within budget so should give myself a pat on the back
. And one for all of you too!:T

Decided to spend the last of mine on treats, for me, well us. I have bought bacon and yummy scrummy icecream from the farm shop and a few other bits. I will thoroughly enjoy what I saved on my budget
Christmas pudding icecream, mmmm!
One day I might be more organised...........

Only a couple of more days to go for us as we run 4th to the 4th as thats when we get our credit card bill made up. Going to be over by about £15 but not too upset as we are down from £486 in September to £315 in November!
Looking forward to Decembers challenge, haven't quite worked out how much we are going to budget for what with Christmas and our two children both having their birthday on Christmas Eve:eek:
