Hello everyone, would it be possible for lil me to join this challenge???
...
Havent got anything else much in, just a few basic bits, so just need to work out a meal planner and go for that and stick to it tomorrow.
Welcom to the GC!! The more the merrier here, we are all encouraging each other and sharing ideas.:j
Great bargain on the cat litter! wouldnt it be good to have a deal like that every week!
I'm having to do a small shop tomorrow, hoping to keep it less than £5 and then will do my monthly online from Mr T next week. Once a month delivery works fine for me and I just need a small top up between. I've spent £4.35 on milk and fresh veg so far this month.
Good luck everyone!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

First of all, thanks to everyone who answered my post, sorry I haven't replied before but had a bit of a prob with my computer, couldn't get online. Am able to get to Derry in about 50 minutes, which has Tesco and Sainsbury, but Asda is in Strabane, which is about an hour, so either shop is fine.Credit card €7892.36/€ 0

well i nipped out for a walk yesterday -to the Naffi, and they had 1lb packs of diced braising steak... should have been 5 euros.... but as it was "whoopsied" to 2 euros a pack i picked 2 up... so i need to add another 4 euros - or £3 to my total this month - well it was to good to miss.. .. so that takes me to £7.20 so far this month
Im going to braise half a pack with onions tomorrow and then layer it in a dish with potatoes n onions, plenty of seasooning and some stock and whack it in the oven ......yummy
Today we have corned beef hash... i made a huge pan yesterday... will probably end up freezing some and turning it into a pie
I have decided that when the December challenge starts im going to try and get to the 17th without spending a penny as thats when we head back to the UK for xmas/newyear.... and i WILL be stock piling some stuff whilst im there

Hello everyone, would it be possible for lil me to join this challenge???
 Jump straight in honey.
I want as many people as possible to join in with the GC's as this is one of the best things I've ever done for our finances!
Tell us how you're getting on, and ask any questions you need to.
Welcome to the gang!

Oops Almost forgot...
My top tip is:
Set Your Goal Posts, and Don't Move Them About.
Decide whether it's all in (basic toiletries, loo roll and kitchen roll, cleaning products, packed lunches, booze, chocolate and all) or whether you're having a separate budgets for some things.
And stick to it.
I find "all in" simpler myself as I'm rubbish at keeping track of lots of little budgets but the most important thing is that the way you do it works for you.

Just checking in with this weeks spending:o
Not good really....spent £111.31:eek: - including DD's birthday cake (I know I should have made one, but have ABSOLUTELY no energy at the moment and it just felt too hard!:o )
We get through so much bread, milk & cheese that it's unbelievable really...my children just love toast, sandwiches, milk etc etc.....We can easily get through a loaf a day - & I only buy 'nice' bread (I know I could buy the cheap stuff but just don't like it:rotfl: !!)
Anyhow...leaves me £100.34 for the rest of the month...I think I'm heading for failure again!!!:A CONGRATULATIONS IZOOMZOOM!!!:AOur DD's share the same birthday (3rd November)
