Working away going out at evening trouble

Hi not sure if its in the correct tread but basically
A group of us went abroad for work had a few drinks and went to a bar and night club but a colleague was filming us / me on the dance floor, just worried as colleague showed Uk staff what we was doing etc and people may think we were having fun etc while working away just want to be armed if we get questioned by bosses
Btw this was after work on the evening
Thanks

Roger

I would say as long as you didn!!!8217;t put your bar tab through as expenses and there was no concerns over your conduct at work (through being drunk or hungover or tired) then there should be no issue

We performed fine the next day at work and got through the work required for us going there.

Did you charge any of the bar tabs as "expenses" to the business?

That's good! That would have been a sure-fire way of being sacked.

It depends on how much you've brought the company in disrepute to be honest. You were on a business trip and so were representatives of the company pretty much at all times during your time away. No company ideally wants to see videos like this, especially when a form of disrepute has occurred in relation to your UK colleagues (who now view you in a poorer light).

I would go in to any potential meeting being apologetic to some extent (sorry won't do it again) but also highlighting the main points (performance was fine on the next day, no expenses charged to company, not being drunk and merely having a dance).

I'd probably also post this in the "Employment" section of the forum, as this is for Praise, Vents and Warnings (your post fits none of these).

I'd be watching my back as far as that colleague was concerned.

You live in a strange world. There's absolutely nothing wrong with going out to a club and dancing while you're working away from home. How is that "bringing the company into disrepute" when what they are doing is not in any way, shape or form disreputable? You might as well tell them to apologise for going to the cinema.

Yet you confirmed that you had read and understood the basics of forum use/choice as part of your signup. Which makes this statement somewhat irrelevant...?
