Hi All
My dog has a cataract in one eye and I spoke to the vet about getting it removed and she seemed very reluctant to consider it.
It seems the surgery has a 50% success rate and the aftercare is very onerous ie sterile environment needed. She also said it was expensive.
Is this people's experience as I am keen to help as my dog has poor vision in his other eye, he has dry eye which he has meds for but this cataract has come making his sight worse.

I have no experience of the surgery but if you Google for cost of cataract surgery there are some sites with information and estimated costs.
Estimates seem to run about £3000 for one eye.0
