Just wondering when myHermes put up their prices on 1-2kg parcels? I haven't had any notifications about it and suddenly got a shock this afternoon. Thanks

Prices are bizarre at moment. On the site under 1kg is £2.79 but does not have to comply with small parcel size limit, and 1kg to 2kg is £3.99. On Ebay via Shutl its £2.79 for anything under 2kg and it has to comply with small parcel limit (45 x 35 x 16). And its £3.99 for under 2kg but over the size limit. However if you go into a print in store label shop anything up to 5kg is just £2.95!0

Going by the Shutl price it would be £5.59 for a 2 kg to 5 kg parcel, that's quite a saving!0 -

Yes, it isn't Shutl, it's direct with Hermes and you have to opt to print in store.

For items 1-5kg it's cheaper to use the print in store feature if your parcel shop has one ast it's £2.99You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

That means the print in store is even cheaper than the 1-2kg £3.99 price on the Hermes site. Is that correct?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

That shows my local one as 'pay , post or print in store' but it doesn't have the terminal to do so and it's still a hand in over the counter place. Perhaps it means it is due an upgrade, although in a tiny little corner shop where space is at a premium I'm not sure where they can add anything else. Would be every useful though as I have some heavy things to list very shortly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm going to give this a try as I have a 3kg parcel and MyHermes assure me my local convenience store has a terminal.....
EDIT: Success! easy as anything to use, just add buyers details and your own email address, pay with card , print the label and hand it over at counter for a receipt. I am really impressed, 3kg sent tracked for £2.95.
Shop owner did say that he was impressed I managed to use the terminal- apparently most people find it 'difficult' and have said they will continue to print labels at home - very odd . However, if I go to the Post office it seems many people can't use the pay and drop machines either and all queue to speak to the person in charge of assisting.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
