PIP - do PIP send confirmation letter?

Hello,

It's been two weeks since PIP received our PIP form (according to Royal Mail tracking). I couldn't find an answer to this online, does PIP send you a confirmation letter to say they've received the form? I assume not tbh, is it worth phoning to make sure they have it, or should we sit and wait a bit longer?

And no, unfortunately we are not signed up to text message alerts, I'm not sure if it's possible to change that now. The woman on the phone when we first phoned up to start the claim was quite pushy and rushed us, and we made the wrong decision looking back now.

Thanks in advance,
Cal

A letter confirming receipt won't generally be sent. As you surmise, a text to confirm receipt would be sent. 2 weeks isn't a long time in benefit processing terms so I'd be inclined to give it another week. Phone then if you still haven't heard anything.

Regardless of Royal Mail tracking they will have had it.

I had text message confirmation on receipt. However, in the three weeks between receiving the claim pack and them sending me the text message to confirm receipt I had six letters of reminder in the post plus about 11 text messages saying they hadn't had it yet.

If you haven't had any reminders from them then yes they do have it.
