Wrong pin

used my Halifax debit card to pay for shopping not online but in a supermarket but entered incorrect pin 3 times.had to then pay in cash does that mean I can no longer use this card & I have now remembered my correct pin number.

I think, certainly this happened with me in Natwest, you can go to a cashpoint (though I went into the branch) & by putting the right pin in it will sort the card out.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

You should be able to unlock your PIN after a set amount of time (First Direct resets at midnight) by going to the cash machine and selecting that option, but obviously you will only be able to do this once you know what the PIN is.0

When I did similar I just went to ATM where there is an option to unlock it0 -

That surprises me, i mis-keyed my security question on the FD website and it made me change it. One mis-key and i realised as i pressed enter. Fingers moving faster than my brain.

I am not a FD customer but my father is. Around Christmas he forgot his PIN, they locked it and he had to go to cash machine the next day to unlock it (assuming he now knew his PIN).0
