Cruises First time. Any advice?

I think with pricing you need to decide what is a good deal for you. As I am single there can be a huge variation in prices and generally it is best to book early- the late bargains are rarely if ever for singles. Generally I am booking at least a year in advance.

A few years ago I worked on £100pn as a good deal-
but it has been creeping up recently. The other thing is I never discuss the price I paid when on board- you can only get upset if you find someone has paid half of yours (and yes, that's happened!)

I like Fred.Olsen and have never understood why someone would pay an extra £20 pp for a different dinner. If it's not good enough in the main dining rooms then send it back!

Totally agree P&O are very poor. We couldn't eat in the Main Dining Room as the food was a disgrace - Never ever again. As far as we are concerned Celebrity are streets ahead, having an international bias is great rather than the Tattoo brigade you get on P&O.
