I have rang these numbers on 3 occasions in the last 5 or 6 years.

Once to complement the driver of the lorry on how he managed to prevent an accident.

Once to complain that the driver was continually pulling out into the right lane of the dual carriage way to prevent another lorry from passing him then slowing down again.

The 3rd time was to let them know that the !!!! driving the truck had basically crushed my car against the central barrier of concrete which resulted me being freed from my vehicle by the Fire Brigade and the motorway being closed for about 3 hours!

Now I make a point of getting past trucks as quick as possible on motorways!

Ok he should of been going 50MPH then or let vehicles pass
No he shouldn't have. Don't be so impatient.

No I am not but suspect the many vehicles behind may be
But you are the one moaning on a forum, and saying you wanted to phone and complain.

No that is not what I said - I said I didn't want to phone because I thought that was nasty - I was asking if anyone does phone these numbers

I reported a truck which had aggressively tailgated me through some roadworks. The transport director denied that the truck had even been there!

I've called to praise a couple of truckers who have managed to avoid serious smashes with impatient car drivers.

I saw a trucker who was reading a paperback at the wheel and drifting between lane 1 and the hard shoulder, but there was no number to call on his truck.

Slow moving farm vehicles are required to do so, there is no requirement for a truck to do.

    Yes there is. Rule 169.

    Is that advice or law?

Doesn't say MUST, so will be advisory.
