Tiny flies in my brand new built flat!

Options
Hi all,
Very new here! Ive tecently bought a new barratts new built flat. Ive got possession of the flat at the start of May abd am planning to move in in the next 2 weeks.
Recently discovered tiny flies (ant-sized) at the window stills at the flat. I am meant to have a chat with barratts about this and over the weekend i noticed even more flies all over.
Anyone has any idea why did this happening? And what would i potentially do?
Thanks!

Have you've had windows open in the warm weather? Or trickle vents? What can you do? Nothing much, just let them be and vacuum them up when they die. You cannot make the flat airtight and it wouldn't be a good idea to do so anyway.

Have you been given houseplants as housewarming presents - or even bought some yourself? They could be fungus gnats (sciarid flies).

Ah, that's going to make identfying them difficult.

    They could be all sorts.

Do you have the loft space above your flat?
